AGM 2012

November 2nd, 2012 | by LTD | No Comments

Thank you all for attending the Annual General Meeting of the Language Technology Division. The AGM was held on the conference Friday at 2:00pm. The format that our division has pioneered (hold a short business meeting and use the rest of the time slot to present/discuss topics of interest to our members) was formalized with the San Diego conference. A number of divisions had 15-minute business meetings followed by a one-hour presentation.

The minutes of this year’s meeting are now up (our thanks to Ted Wozniak). You can click on LTD Documents in the sidebar to see all LTD-related documents available, or you go straight to the AGM 2012 Minutes.

The division administrator Laurie Gerber resigned from her post due to personal reasons. Appointed as administrator to complete her term was José Palomares who addressed the meeting via Skype from a conference in Germany.

The Language Technology Division had Alain Martinossi as “distinguished speaker.” He gave his presentation right after our business meeting. A report on Alain’s presentation will be posted in the near future.
